Zumiao 祖庙

I had been to this place several times, I only considered it as a park with beautiful ancient architectures and gardens. That was until the last time.

It was a Daoist Temple. It was first built during the Song Dynasty (1078-1085). By the early Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1911), it had gradually become a temple with a complete system. It also had a rigorous structure and strong local characteristics.

In its leaflet, the whole name is: Foshan Zumiao Museum 佛山市祖庙博物馆, Foshan Ancestral Temple Museum.

There were too many things to see. I couldn’t say exactly what was what. I was just strolling between the gardens and buildings.

Tenryu-ji 天龍寺

March last year, I went to Tokyo, Kyoto and a little bit beyond, visited some very spectacular, extraordinaire, brilliant, fascinating places, such as Ueno Park上野恩賜公園; Sensoji Temple 浅草寺; Fushimi Inari Shrine 伏見稻荷大社; Golden Pavilion 金閣寺;  Kiyomizu dera Temple 清水寺;  Togetsukyo Bridge 渡月橋; Himeji Castle 姬路城 … …

There were also some places like Tenryu-ji 天龍寺: calm and still, it invited you to pay attention to details, not only to see but to feel.

Tenryu-ji located in the Sagano district of Kyoto, was established in 1339 in memory of Emperor Go-Daigo (1288-1339).
